IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hillary Jane
Branner
July 26, 1961 – December 26, 2025
Hillary Jane Branner, 64, of Meridianville, passed away on December 26, 2025.
Hillary was born in Oahu, Hawaii, and carried with her the island girl love of the water throughout her life. As a true daughter of the ocean, the tidal waters were her home. Her family returned to the mainland at a young age and moved from Huntsville, Alabama, to Central Florida, where she attended Trinity Prep High School and eventually moved to the Florida Daytona coastline. There, she became a professional deep-sea fisherwoman and enjoyed her ocean life once again. Hillary then married Owen Callaway and moved to a tree-filled piece of land in Meridianville, Alabama. No longer able to be with the ocean, she became an abundant flower farmer, and her good friend, Donnie, was always there to lend a helping hand. She was intelligent and well-read and funny. Hillary loved a good joke and a good party. A beauty and a bikini queen, she was always ready for life with a big heart and a flashing smile. She was a valiant person even when the chips were down.
Her compassionate and kind spirit is missed already, but you can find her in the flowers and in the ocean itself. We know her beloved dog, Otis, was there to greet her along with other heavenly family members. In closing, she would often say …
Paddle faster, Johnny!
