Our beloved mother, Hui Suk Hwang, passed away on August 25, 2026, of heart failure. She left us the way she lived—quietly strong, full of love, and deeply faithful.

In 1987, she left Korea and made a new home in Huntsville, carrying little more than hope and determination. There she raised two sons with a fierce, steady love. Night after night she worked the late shift at Sanmina so that her boys could go to college. She never made a show of the sacrifice; she simply did what mothers do—gave everything so her children could have more.

She was full of life in the most ordinary and beautiful ways. She loved to eat, to sing karaoke with pure abandon, and to laugh until the whole room felt lighter. Her faith in God was the quiet center of her world. She served at church without fanfare, simply showing up and helping however she could. And she treasured time with friends—long conversations, shared meals, the easy joy of being together.

To her sons, she was the steady heart of the family: the one who worked nights so they could dream bigger, the one who celebrated every small victory with food and song, the one whose laughter still echoes in their memories. She taught them, without ever preaching, what strength and love look like in everyday life.

We will miss her voice rising in song, her ready smile, her quiet faith, and the way she made ordinary moments feel warm and full. Her love remains—in the lives she shaped, the faith she lived, and the joy she freely gave.

Rest in peace, Mom. You were, and always will be, deeply loved.
