Obituary

Humphrey Owen Roberts, 89, of Huntsville passed away Sunday.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Delima Roberts; two sisters, Anna Skretney and Marion Stubben; daughter, Karen Rodenhausen; son, Humphrey Roberts, Jr.; four grandchildren, Ava Caldwell, Lindsay Kosciuk, Eric Rodenhausen, and Alyssa Spencer; eight great-grandchildren, Blair, Wesley, and Lililian Caldwell, Katalina and Carter Kosciuk, Hailey Spencer, Mia Milne, and Abigail Gehlken.

Humphrey was born in Chicago, IL.  He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War.  He was a geniunely humble man who lived to serve others.  Humphrey was a mechanic by trade with talent in the repair of "just about anything."  This talent was greatly appreciated by family and friends.  Humphrey's greatest love was time spent with God, family, and friends.  Humphrey's compassion, patience, humility, and witty sense of humor made all who met him love him.  He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Visitation is Friday, May 24th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home.  The funeral service is on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Mitchell Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Huntsville Senior Center or a charity of choice.
