With reverence, we announce the passing of Mrs. Iris Mae Wilkerson, also known as Grandma, who was called to heaven on February 29, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on April 26, 1938, in Hazelton, Indiana, Iris exemplified a life of devotion, embodying the virtues of faith, family, and love.

Blessed with a marriage of 54 years, Iris and her husband, Dennis Wilkerson, shared a journey of unwavering love and commitment. Their union was a testament to the enduring strength of partnership and the deep bonds of matrimony.

Iris's memory will be held in the hearts of her beloved husband, Dennis; her son, Ronald; her sisters, Charlotte Naas (Clarence), Marcella Robb (Kenny), and Jean Galdish (Roger); her grandchildren, Chad Conner (Jennifer), Jamie Clevenger (Sharon), and Corey Clevenger (Nikki); and her great-grandchildren, Samantha Conner, Jeff Conner, Taylor Clevenger, JD Clevenger, and her great-great-grandchild, Skylar Shull.

She now joins in eternal peace her daughter, Vickie Conner, and her siblings, Clarence Lewis, Wayne Lewis, and Johnetta Robb, who preceded her in passing.

The family invites those who knew and loved Iris to attend a visitation on Monday, March 4, at 11 am, with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 pm at Memory Gardens in Huntsville, Alabama. Arrangements are under the direction of Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, Alabama.
