Jack Donald Kanupp, 94, of Huntsville, passed away July 16, 2025.

Mr. Kanupp was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis H. Kanupp, along with his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his daughter Kim K. Pounders (Gregg); son Kevin Kanupp (Wendy); four grandchildren: Ashlyn Pounders McKinney (Jansen), Jackson Kanupp (Courtney), Collin Pounders (Kalyn) and Elli Kate Kanupp; and three great-grandchildren: Vivian and Margo Kanupp and Teddy McKinney.

He served in the U.S Marine Corps and was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. Kanupp was retired from NASA where he worked for 30 plus years.

Mr. Kanupp had the privilege of meeting Elvis while stationed in Memphis and even rode in the pink Cadillac. He loved his dog Sparky and took him on rides most days. He also loved watching Tennessee sports.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 19th from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will follow at 4:00 with Rev. Alan Crawford officiating.  Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Park Baptist Church or a charity of choice.
