Jackie L. Weaver, 71, passed away at home surrounded by beloved friends on March 26, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Virginia Odell Brazelton Abercrombie and brother, Bobby B. Abercrombie, all of Arab. She is survived by her faithful partner and caregiver, Brenda Driskell, her beloved fur babies, Jackson Weaver and Izzy and many cherished friends. She is also survived by her "chosen children" James (Dixie) Gossett, Nancy (Greg Dempsey), and Susie (Greg) Tipton, and the Driskell family.

Jackie was born on January 11, 1954 in Arab, Al. She graduated from Arab High School in 1972 and attended the University of Alabama (UAH). She was a longtime employee of Benchmark Electronics as a Material Manager and retired from Pesa Electronics.

Jackie lived life to the fullest and was passionate about her friends, animals and outdoor activities. Jackie was a great athlete and loved softball, roller skating, bass fishing, boating, water skiing and golf. She also loved maintaining a well-manicured lawn. Her favorite pastime was riding her beloved Harley Davison Motorcycle. She shared many good times with her best friends, Paula Ealy and Anita Whitaker, and made great memories doing life with these two. Jackie also enjoyed playing Golf with friends Kathy Pierce, Glenda Waller and Sherry House. Many memories were made with her best childhood friend, Belinda (Johnny) Wilks and they remained close throughout their lives. There are too many other friends to name that she loved and cherished, but you know who you are.

She also adored her special fur babies, Coco, Baylee and Journey Rose, who passed some time ago.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held May 17, 2025 from 4 to 6PM.

In lieu of flowers, you may consider a donation in her name to the charity of your choice. She supported Wounded Warriors, Tunnel to Towers, St. Jude and local animal shelters.

She loved life and did it her way. She is now riding free.
