James "Jimmy" Euel Hall, Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. James was born in Harvest, Alabama - the son of Margaret Pruitt Hall and James Euel Hall, Sr.

James was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.

He is survived by his children, Donna Hall Stoner, Mike Hall (Patti), Ricky Hall (Mary) and Susan Hall-Baker; six grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Euel and Margaret Hall; his wife of 64 years, Virginia Jennings Hall (2021); and his youngest grandson, James E. Matthew Baker (2016)

To his grandchildren, "Granddaddy" faithfully showed up for sporting events, school programs, birthdays, weddings, graduations and just about every other milestone imaginable. He didn't just attend those moments - he made sure each grandchild knew they were loved. He passionately shared in their lives, caring about what they cared about.

A proud veteran, James served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he attended John C. Calhoun College in Decatur, earning his degree in Heating and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration. He launched an over five-decade career in the HVAC business. He owned and operated Hall's Cooling and Heating Company.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 12th at Berryhill Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the staff at Hospice Family Care, Richard, Danielle, Shawna and Stacy, who provided support encouragement, and compassion when it was needed the most.
