James S. Pierce "Jim" 66, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his wife and kids, the morning of Friday, March 16th.
Jim was born in Pulaski, TN to Billy Pierce and Lois Golba on November 1st, 1951. After graduating from Giles County HS, he enlisted in the Army where he served with distinction from 1969-1971. He was the eternal prankster and loved to tell jokes. He was an avid outdoorsman and a "Jim of all trades." He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching University of Tennessee Football.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, son Joe John Bennett (Christie) of Kingston, GA, daughter Courtney Wagner (Keith) also of Huntsville, daughter Shelley Jackson (Lamar) of Hattiesburg, MS, and his precious grandchildren that refer to him as Papa and Jimbo; Matthew, Chase, Lilly, Florence Anne, Kael, Wells, and baby Kamden due this summer.
Services will be held Thursday, March 22nd at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Huntsville. There will be a visitation at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served in the Parish Hall after mass to celebrate Jim's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
As Jim would say, "Bless your heart" and "Go Big Orange!!!"
