IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jameson Lee
Sarratt
July 2, 1990 – November 1, 2025
Jameson Lee Sarratt, age 35, was born on July 2, 1990, in Dallas, Texas, to Jim "Sonny" and Charlotte Sarratt. He was raised in Florence, Alabama, and graduated from Florence High School with the Class of 2008.
Jameson worked in construction and became a skilled carpenter, leaving his mark on numerous projects across North Alabama. Through his work, he built not only structures but also lasting friendships with those he met along the way.
A passionate Alabama Crimson Tide fan, Jameson loved cheering on his team. He also enjoyed online gaming, a hobby that connected him to friends across the country. Those who knew him best recognized the joy and companionship gaming brought him, and some of his happiest moments were spent gaming, laughing, and sharing life with those friends.
Jameson attended and graduated from His Way, where he found a renewed faith and a deep relationship with the Lord. Following his time there, he attended Lipscomb University in Nashville, where he studied Pastoral Leadership and served as a Youth Minister at Forest Home Church in Franklin, Tennessee. His compassion, humor, and sincerity inspired many of the young people he mentored.
Two of the people Jameson cherished most in his life were his grandmother, Mary Louise Sarratt, and his great-aunt Jackie Balentine. Their unconditional love meant the world to him, and he often spoke of how deeply he missed them. The family finds comfort in knowing there was a joyful reunion in Heaven.
Jameson will be dearly missed by many, but especially by his young cousins, Cameron, Asher, and Deacon Nichols; Casen, Beckett, and Vivian Cunningham; and Stanley Keenum, who adored playing games and wrestling with him whenever the family was together. While the youngest cousins—Catherine Keenum, Evelyn, Charlie, and Ellis Keenum—were too young to fully know his playful spirit, his family will ensure they know the lasting memories of his love and kindness.
He is survived by his parents, Sonny and Charlotte Sarratt, and his sister, Caroline (Bryan) Russell, of Jacksonville, Florida. He is also survived by a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins: George and Tami Williams; Connie and Chuck Sisson; Susie and Stan Keenum; Kelli and Chad Nichols; Henson and Sarah Keenum; Will and Emma Keenum; Allison and Nate Cunningham; and a special "uncle" in Rodney Dillard.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 9, at the His Way Campus, located at 582 Shields Road, Huntsville, AL 35811, with Pastor Tom Reynolds presiding. Visitation will be at 2:00 followed by the Service at 3:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to His Way in memory of Jameson ("Jameson Sarratt Memorial") or to the Greater Huntsville Humane Society, https://ghhs.org, as Jameson never met a cat or dog he didn't love.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the His Way staff, friends, and mentors who guided and supported Jameson on his spiritual journey. Their compassion and encouragement made a lasting impact on his life. A special thank-you is also extended to the Central Church of Christ family for their continued love, prayers, and friendship.
Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
