With hearts full of remembrance and gratitude, we honor the extraordinary life of Janice Davis Reynolds, who passed away on July 20, 2026, in Huntsville, Alabama, just days before her 69th birthday. Born on July 29, 1957, in Illinois, Janice was a beacon of warmth, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Janice’s journey was one marked by kindness and a steadfast sense of purpose. She was the beloved wife of Randy Reynolds, their partnership a testament to enduring love. To her daughter, Jennifer Hornsby (Jeb), Janice was a fount of wisdom and tenderness—her presence a constant source of encouragement and inspiration. Her embrace extended generously to her cherished grandchildren, Caden, John Luke, and Ella Kate Hornsby, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Within her family, Janice was both anchor and confidante, a sister to Ron Davis (Linda), Beth Allison (Tommy), and Pam Anderson (Eddie), each bound to her by not only kinship, but by deep affection. Her extended circle included her Mother and Father-in-law, Charles and Carol Reynolds, and countless nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends, to whom she offered her gentle guidance, support, and care.
Janice’s spirit for service found meaningful expression in her work as a volunteer with Sleep in Heavenly Peace. In this selfless role, she touched lives and uplifted spirits, affirming her deeply held belief that every child deserves comfort and dignity. This commitment stood among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting her enduring compassion and her readiness to help those most in need.
Janice’s legacy is both profound and far-reaching. While she is now reunited with her beloved parents, John and Agnes Davis—whose memory she cherished throughout her life—her influence endures in the generosity, resilience, and kindness she instilled in all who had the privilege to know her.
To reflect on Janice’s remarkable journey is to recall a life lived with purpose, grace, and unwavering love. Her memory will remain a guiding light, inspiring those she leaves behind to celebrate each day with the same open heart and gentle strength that defined her every step.
