Devoted minister, loving family man, and bringer of laughter

Jason Gregory Ramsey, age 51, of Huntsville, AL, was called home to be with the Lord on January 13th, 2025. Known for his unwavering faith, compassionate spirit, and infectious sense of humor, Jason impacted countless lives during his years of ministry and beyond.

Born on December 29th, 1973 in Huntsville, AL to Randoe Ramsey and the late Amarlys Ramsey. Jason surrendered to preach at the age of 28 and devoted himself to a life of service. Over the course of the next 20 years, he led with wisdom, love, and plenty of jokes that never failed to lighten hearts. Jason believed that joy was one of God's greatest gifts, and he filled every room he entered with laughter.

Outside of the pulpit, Jason was a devoted husband, a proud father and a doting grandfather. He also had countless other children that he mentored and loved as much as his own children. He also cherished his role as a mentor and friend to many, always ready with a listening ear or a quick quip to lift someone's spirits.

He is survived by his beloved spouse, Alison Honea Ramsey; children, Austin Ramsey (Barbra), Ashley Quaife (Andrew); grandchildren, Bishop Quaife, Rhythm Ramsey, Stella Ramsey, Sullivan Ramsey; Father, Randoe Ramsey (Clarita); and siblings, Regina Akin, Josh Ramsey (Alison) and beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amarlys Ramsey.

Jason's legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

A Celebration of Life will take place on January 25th at Essential Church, 801 Beirne Ave NE, Huntsville, AL 35801. Visitation from 12:30 to 1:30 with a service to follow. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to share stories and memories that capture the joy he brought to all.
