Jean was Born January 12, 1942, in Decatur, AL, to Earnest Rigsby and Zela Hopkins Rigsby. Jean passed peacefully at home on July 19, 2026.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Jean worked in the laundry at Huntsville Hospital as a supervisor until she retired and became caregiver to her mother, father, husband, and grandchildren.

Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Eugene Elliott Ill, her parents, Earnest and Zela Rigsby, and her sister, Betty Rigsby Seals.

Jean leaves behind her sister, Nancy Rigsby Henderson; her sons, Christopher (Gail) Seals, Mike Seals, Dave Seals, and Mike Elliott. Her grandchildren Kimberly (Justin) Seals Jones, Joshua Seals, Andrew Seals, Leon Turner, Samuel Nichols II, Constance Nichols, and Jessica Seals. Her great-grandchildren, Isabella Jones, Ezariah Turner, Everleigh Turner, and Avia Seals, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to her wonderful caregivers, Tiffany Morgan, Ehla Hernandez, and Tracy Tripp, who took such great care of her.
