IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeannie Cynthia
Leyden
February 1, 1949 – July 26, 2025
Jeannie Leyden, a remarkable woman known for her boundless love, compassion, and quiet strength, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born in February 1949, Jeannie lived a life of deep purpose and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the cherished wife of the late William Thomas Leyden, a proud U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Together, they built a life rooted in love, service, and sacrifice—a bond that endured even after his passing.
Jeannie was the proud mother of seven beautiful children, all lovingly adopted and raised with the kind of devotion only a mother like her could give. Her home was a place of safety, warmth, and acceptance, where every child knew they were deeply loved and truly seen.
Known for her gentle spirit and generous heart, Jeannie was admired and adored by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a source of comfort, strength, and unwavering support to family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her love was steady, her wisdom quiet yet profound, and her presence irreplaceable.
Jeannie's greatest joy came from time spent with her children and grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and selfless care that will live on through every life she shaped.
She is survived by her seven children, Cindy, Kellie, Wesley, Jessica, Michelle, Ryan, and Jonathan. Along with her 13 grandchildren, and countless others who called her family, whether by blood or by bond.
A celebration of Jeannie's life will be held on August 7th, 2025, visitation from 2-4pm, with service starting at 4pm, at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the family's GoFundMe. Any contribution will help lighten the load for her family as they navigate both their grief and the financial responsibilities of saying goodbye.
Her love was fierce. Her heart was full. Her legacy is eternal.
