Jerry Wayne Adkins, 69, of Madison, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 surrounded by his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Jimmy Adkins and mother Zula Adkins.

Jerry was survived by his devoted wife of 36 years Kay Adkins, his sister Judy Bruckert (Mike) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jerry retired from Crestwood Hospital after 15 years of service, during retirement he enjoyed restoring vintage coke machines and refrigerators as well as a blade smith, wood working milling and photography. He also enjoyed traveling and experiencing different culture also had a love for music.  He was a member at Southside Baptist for 15 years and enjoyed studying his Bible as well as his deep Love for his Lord and Savior.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed immediately by the service at 2:00 p.m. with Darrel Craft officiating.  Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bruckert, Larry Martin, Chris Martin, Billy Adkins Bobby Adkins and Daniel Bishop.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of North Alabama for the care and comfort they gave Mr. Adkins and his family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
