Joe D. Kilpatrick was born on March 1, 1942 to Clayton and Hallie Kilpatrick. He was born in Toney, Alabama and grew up in Maysville, Alabama. Joe enlisted in the military, serving in the Navy from 1960-1964. After his time in the military, Joe attended college where he acquired his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees.
Joe had an amazing life full of different careers as an Electrical Engineer, serving in management positions as either a Director or Vice President with various International and Domestic organizations. Then from 1994-2012 Joe along with his business partner and wife Betty, were Owners of Remedy, in Austin, Texas, which is a Franchise of a National Personnel Staffing Firm.
Upon retiring, his residence was in Huntsville, Alabama.
Joe is survived by his wife Betty Kilpatrick; daughters, Jennifer Kilpatrick Reilly (husband Joe Reilly) and Shannon Kilpatrick (husband David Davis); grandchildren, Dylan, Stone, Hallie, Nicky (Casey); great-grandchildren, Finn and Lachlan; sisters, Doris Renfroe (husband Leon, deceased), Edna Renfroe (husband Eugene, deceased); brother, Harold (wife Rosie); nephews, Phil (wife Heather); nieces, Jan (husband James), Elesha, Glenda (William), Kay (husband Alton, deceased), Cathy (Doyle); grand nephew, Garry (wife Jill), Brian (Jessica), Shawn (wife Cindy); grand-nieces, Rachel (husband Stephen), Leslie (husband Scott), Savannah (husband Ryan), McKinsey; great-grand nieces, Avery, Aria; great-grand nephews, Aiden, Jack.
Joe was a wonderful man who lived life to the fullest and invested his time in the creation of new and exciting adventures. He is loved and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 28th from 9:30 - 11:00 AM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will follow at 11:00 wit Rex Kilpatrick officiating, followed by burial in Rice Cemetery.
