Joe David Shamblin, 79, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Mr. Shamblin is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dorothy Miller Shamblin; sons, Brian Shamblin and Todd Shamblin (Gina); grandchildren, Dalton Shamblin, Foster Shamblin, Will Shamblin; brother, Johnny Shamblin; sister, Nancy Hunt; special friend and longtime neighbor, Eric and Jenny Vanderslice; mother-in-law, Juanita Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Mary Shamblin.

Joe worked for 30 years at the Civil Service Commissary before retiring.  After retiring, he began working at Walmart, where he stayed for 15 years.  While working at Walmart, Joe also took on a position at Star Market for 6 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Shiloh Cemetery on Ryland Pike.

Those acting as pallbearers are Craig McConnell, Stephen Laymon, Charles Smith, Justin Watson, Johnny Watson, and Heath Campbell.
