Johnny J Bolling, 86, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Hospice Family Care In-Patient facility on April 27, 2023.

He was born in Roanoke, VA on June 21, 1936 to the late Charles W Bolling and Odessa Manning Bolling. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving in South Carolina, Mississippi, and overseas in France. He retired from Unisys Computer Corp in 1991 after a long career as a Field Engineer.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kay Riley Bolling, and his children Karen B Holbrook, John Jay Bolling, Kay B Maddox, Darren Bolling, and Chris Bolling. In addition, he is survived by eleven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held later in Roanoke, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's name to St Jude in Memphis or the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to thank all of the Doctors, Nurses, and other staff of Huntsville Hospital and Hospice Family Care that provided for John's outstanding care.
