John Howard Eldredge Jr., 73, passed away on July 19,2025 in Toney, Alabama. He was born on April 24th, 1952 in Asheville,North Carolina.

John served 22 years in the US Army. He was retired a Vietnam Veteran. John was a beloved husband to Melanie Eldredge; father to Chris (Tammy) Eldredge ,Carl Eldredge, and Kelly (Robin) Eldredge; Pepaw to eleven grandchildren: Brehanna (Caleb) Green,Dakota Eldredge, Tommy Eldredge, Autumn Eldredge, GraceEldredge, Sariah, Josiah, Amariah, Elliniah, Adoniah, and Ezeriah Eldredge; and brother to Helen (Darrell) Yates of Florida,

He was preceded in death by his sister, Janie Powers. Uncle to Erik (Elena) Powers of Tennessee and Kimberly Bradley of Florida.

Lovingly known as "John John" to so many more. John attended Apostolic Truth Church in Toney, Alabama.

He enjoyed shooting, fishing, tinkering, and making family time special. John will be deeply missed.

Celebration of Life service will be held with full military honors on Saturday, August 23rd at 11:00 AM at Apostolic Truth UPC, 8018 Highway 53 in Toney. Rev. Mike Letson will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, any gifts or donations are appreciated during the celebration of life ceremony.
