John Gary Francis, 85, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and respected business owner who dedicated 58 years to Francis Furniture Design. Through his craftsmanship, hard work, and commitment to excellence, he left a lasting impact on his family, friends, customers, and community.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years; his sons, Eric Francis and Shawn Francis; his sisters, Joyce Didier of Cape Coral, Florida, and Patricia Fann of Huntsville, Alabama. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory and the love he shared throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Francis; his mother, Lorraine Francis; his son, John G. Francis ("Johnny"); and his brother, Michael Francis ("Mike").

For nearly six decades, he built not only a successful business but also a legacy of integrity, dedication, and care for others. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to family, and the friendships he cultivated throughout his life.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
