On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, John "Joey" Joseph Dye passed away peacefully at the age of 57.

Joey was born on October 28, 1967 to Joe and Faye Dye .  He attended Central Jr. High School and was a 1986 graduate of Madison County High School, where he played both basketball and baseball. JOEY WAS A DYE HARD ALABAMA FAN!

Joey's greatest pride and joy was his family.  He is survived by his three sons: John (Cassidy, Will (Parker), and Matthew Dye; mother Faye Dye; sister, Toni Brooks (Kenny) and most of all his new grandson, Johnson.  Also he is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Joe Dye; grandparents, John and Mildred Loveday, and Vance and Ruby Dye.

Joey loved all and was loved by all.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 29th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.  Service will be Monday, December 30th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Wesley Landers officiating, followed by burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Volunteer Fire Department.

Special message:

Joey, this is the hardest thing I have had to accept, but I have to accept it as in God's plan.  I will see you again one day.  Rest easy, little brother.
