John Maynard, 50, of Meridianville, Alabama passed away on April 26, 2019.

John retired from the city of Huntsville after 25 successful years of service. His last assignment before retirement was as manager of Richard Showers Center. Along with his nature of generosity and giving, John carried his love for swimming and people past retirement and continued to be a swimming coach. He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.

John is survived by his beautiful wife, Jennifer Maynard; three sons, Chris (Bethany), Dylan, and Dakota; daughter, Tiana; parents, Syble Beshears (Wayne) and G.W. Maynard; brother, Jeff; nephew, Mark; and niece, Samantha.

The family will accept guests for visitation at Berryhill Funeral Home Monday, April 29, 2019 from 5pm-8pm. Chapel service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 11am with Rev. Tommy Bolan officiating followed by graveside service at Travis Family Cemetery in Skyline.
