John David Morrow Jr., born on January 1, 1954, and long-time resident of Marshall County and the Grant community, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025.

He spent his final days under hospice care at Windsor House Nursing Home in Huntsville. Johnny grew up in Grant, attending Kate Duncan Smith School, where he actively participated in community activities and sports. He excelled at basketball, earning all-state recognition during his high school years.

After graduating from high school, Johnny briefly attended Auburn University before embarking on a career in restaurant and food service management at various locations throughout the southeast. Later in life, he returned to Marshall County and worked primarily as an independent electrician in the local area. Despite suffering from heart problems and strokes since 2013, Johnny continued to live independently and remained active as an electrician.

Johnny was predeceased by his father, John David Morrow Sr., his mother, Aleen Hanson Morrow, and his sister, Susie Morrow. He is survived by his sister Jane Morrow Mann and brother-in-law Steve Mann of Kaneohe, HI; his son John David Morrow III; his grandson Shane Morrow; and his daughter Jasper Morrow of the Grant community and Huntsville, respectively. A celebration of Johnny's life will be planned, with details to be shared upon finalization.
