In Loving Memory of John (Johnny) Robert Davis - known to many as Pop

Johnny Davis, age 81, of New Market, Alabama, went home to be with his savior on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Johnny was born on April 11, 1945, in Pell City, Alabama. A lifelong Alabamian, he was known for his kind heart, unwavering devotion to his family, the many wonderful stories he loved to share and the quiet strength that guided him throughout his life. He touched the lives of many through his generosity, wisdom, and genuine care for others. Johnny was owner and operator of Davis Cabinet Works for over 40 years until he retired.

One of Johnny's greatest blessings was his marriage to the love of his life, Betty Jean Davis. Together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, family, and commitment. Their enduring partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them and a testament to the power of true love.

Johnny will be remembered for the warmth of his smile, the comfort of his presence, and the countless memories he created with family and friends. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured the time spent with those he loved most. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Wayne Davis and is survived by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Davis, his son, Jamie Davis, his daughter in love, Michelle Coggan, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with more family and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. A life well lived leaves a lasting legacy. Johnny will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
