Johnnie Jewel McFarlen, of Huntsville, passed away on November 22, 2025.

Survivors include her daughters, Jan Nash and Jennifer Whitener (Stuart); grandchildren, Liz Shunnara (Jimmy), Ryan Nash (Lauren), Hunter Whitener (Michala), and Katie Cotten (Zach); sister, Peggy Guerriero; and three great-grandchildren.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edgar McFarlen, Jr.; her parents, O.O. and Viola Whitaker; sisters, Jean Foster, Polly Elledge, Cat Williams, Betty Clark, and Nell Skaggs; and brother, Ogie Whitaker.

A private graveside service is planned. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
