Johnny Lynn Smith, 72, of Hazel Green, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Johnny is survived by his spouse, James Junior Elledge; children, Jessica Lane Smith (Ron), Matthew David Smith (Tiffany), and Laynden John Elledge; grandchildren, Alexander Blaine Foster and Jacob Lane Foster; and siblings, Roswell "Ross" Houston Smith, Jr. (Gayle), Susan Smith Tucker (Ernest), and Thomas "Tommy" Eugene Smith (Tracy); and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roswell "Cottonhead" Houston Smith and Mary Elizabeth Smith; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Smith Hudson (Myron), Linda Smith Shields (Buddy), Martha "Mot" Smith Sims (Doug), and Anita Smith Collier (Jimmy).
