Jonathan
Key
August 15, 1981 – August 12, 2022
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Amaya Key; Amaya's mother, Amberly Hall; brother, Joshua (Jennifer) Key; sister Darlynda (David) Bogle; sister, Kimberly Key; brother, Michael Key; brother, Steven (Janka) Key; "God sisters", Julie Toney and Stephanie Williams; several nieces and nephews, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Judith Key.
From a young age, Jon found his love for art and was a very talented artist. Before his passing, he was working toward his goal of opening a creative space in Huntsville, AL where artists create, display, and sell their work. He journaled about this goal, saying, "How I would work in a community of artists is be open minded, respectful, inspire and be inspired by my fellow artists and people in the community. I want to share my gift with the world and pray that my creativity will bless and enrich those around me, spread positivity through my craft and encourage others to do the same." You can see in one of his last art pieces of Jesus, that The Lord was in his heart. He had faith and hope for the future.
Jon's infectious personality drew people to him. He was thoughtful, kind and quick to forgive. He was tender-hearted, loved deeply, had a gentle soul and wanted to help others. He aspired to open a home for people recovering from life's troubles.
Private funeral services will be held for the family. Memorial donations may be made to support Amaya's education via Zelle at jonathankeyscholarshipfund@gmail.com .
