Joseph Brian Ashburn, 56, of New Market, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.

Born on January 20, 1969, Joe was a man who loved the comforts of home, yet was always ready to lend a hand to anyone who needed him. His personal hero was his granddaddy, Nelson Acklin.

Joe's love for country music, particularly the songs of Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings, was a constant in his life. He was a die-hard fan of Alabama football, NASCAR, and the Atlanta Braves, passions he shared with many throughout his life. He was a beloved husband, son, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Pamela Ashburn, and his parents, Diane and Darrel Ashburn. He leaves behind five children: Jessica Ashburn, Joseph L. Ashburn, Hannah Ashburn, Candice Tate, and Natasha Fortier, as well as ten cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelson and Jean Acklin, and his brothers, Shawn Kelley and Phillip Ashburn.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you have a drink for Joe to honor his memory. A celebration of life will be held at 124 Bright Road, Hazel Green, Alabama, with the date and time to be determined.
