Joy Elizabeth Moody, 72, of Toney, was born on April 21, 1953, and passed away on May 31, 2025.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Moody Hill; nieces, Michelle Elizabeth Clevland and Christina Marie Hensley; and great-nephew, Michael Theriot.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gil and Barbara Moody.

Joy graduated from Huntsville High School in 1971 and then furthered her education at Jacksonville State, where she graduated from in 1975. Throughout her career, she was employed at Teledyne Brown Engineering and SQHS, and was a Senior Purchasing Specialist at System Studies and Stimulation.

A service will be held at Locus Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in New Market,  AL, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity.
