Judith Diane Cannatella, 77, made her heavenly transition from the comfort of her home in Rainsville, AL, on the afternoon of Thursday, August 27, 2026. She was born on September 12, 1948, in New Haven, CT, to Fred Seeger and Elsie Tartaglia.

Judy was a woman of tremendous faith and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. 

On December 13, 1969, Judy married her husband, Daniel Edward Cannatella, at the Church of St. Joseph in Suffield, CT. They had their first son, Bryan Edward Cannatella, in 1974 before relocating to Montevallo, AL, to welcome their second son, Christopher Michael Cannatella, in 1977. The family then moved from Montevallo to Huntsville, AL, in 1985. 

Having lived her life as a woman of faithful service to the Lord, Judy received her second baptism from Pastor Ray House on June 23, 2001, and found a home with Grace Fellowship SDA Church in Madison, AL. She remained a dedicated member of the church even through her relocation to Rainsville, AL, in 2024, where she attended Rainsville SDA Church. There, she continued to share her passions through fellowship, inspiring new initiatives for the growth of the church, supporting youth programs, learning and teaching about Jesus, and encouraging everyone she met to seek their own salvation. She found joy in sharing the gospel with her friends and family who will all surely miss the sound of her contagious laughter. 

Judy was truly a special soul, filled with the Holy Spirit, whose life story was a tapestry of graceful devotion. 

Judy is loved endlessly by her survivors, including her son, Christopher Cannatella and wife, Kelly; sister Beverly Tartaglia and Tina Aubut; grandchildren Trevor, Velouria, Kadin, Kaylie, and Jace Cannatella; and great-grandchildren, Mayson, Jai'lahni, and Arabella. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Charles Seeger and Elsie Diane Cannatella; sister Ann Marie Tartaglia; husband Daniel Edward Cannatella; and son Bryan Edward Cannatella. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Erlanger Foundation (Stroke Center) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM (CST) at Grace Fellowship Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Madison, AL. (710 Nance Road Madison, AL 35757)
