Judy Hanson Farris, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend changed residences from this earthly home to Heaven's eternal home on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Judy was born on July 8, 1944 to the late Johnny and Verta Moran in Athens, Alabama.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband Roger A. Farris; sons Ray Hanson, Michael Hanson, and Jeffrey Farris; daughter Janet Jones; brother Alywin Moran; sisters Jane McMahan and Rocky Bowen, and many nephews and nieces. Judy was a wonderful grandmother to ten grandchildren: Jordan, Nikki, Jesse, Lacey, Rachel, Haley, Blake, Presley, Colter, and MJ.

She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren: Lexi, Emily, Jadyn, Jonathan, Lily, Paul, Aidan, Kendrick, Levi, Luna, Zamora, and Zekiel.

Judy worked for various U.S.Army missile programs on Redstone Arsenal, retiring in 1998. She worked with Edward Jones full and part-time from 2006 until 2024.

Judy and Roger have been members of the Rock Family Worship Center since 2012. She loved the LORD, His Word, and His church. With a kind, generous, and warm heart she touched the lives of others, always striving to reflect God's love.

Judy enjoyed traveling with Roger, walking with him in the neighborhood, going out to eat, making chocolate chip cookies with her grandchildren, spending time with God and His Word, and time with family and friends.

A celebration of Judy's life will take place Tuesday, December 3rd at the Rock Family Worship Center in Huntsville Alabama. Visitation will be between 10 am and 12 pm, with the service immediately following.
