Judy Moore Gardner passed away into the next life on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the age of 81. Known lovingly as Mama, Nanny, Nana, Aunt Judy, and JuJu, she is dearly missed by her entire family, but her life in Christ Jesus assures us that we will see her again.

Born in Nashville, TN in 1944, Judy was a resident of Madison County, AL for over 60 years. She was a lifelong Christian and a member of Plainview Church of Christ. She lived a life dedicated to her family, friends, and church family.

After graduating from high school in Madison, TN in 1962, Judy moved to Huntsville and met her husband, Therman. They were married on February 12, 1965 and from their union had one daughter, Mary Elizabeth. They were married for over 30 years when Therman passed away.

Judy held various jobs over the years, with most in the bookkeeping field, working for Allstate and L&L Lumber, among others. Her most rewarding work was as the church secretary at Plainview Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bill Elledge; her grandchildren, Braxton and Alexis Elledge; and her great-grandson, Stetson Elledge; as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Vicki Moore; sister-in-laws, Marvarine Gardner and Jeanette Moore; brother-in-law, Richard O'Bryant; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband Therman, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Moore; brother, Larry Moore; and sister, Diane O'Bryant.

Visitation with her family will be Monday, December 1st, from 9:00-11:00 AM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with the funeral following in the chapel. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Plainview Church of Christ, Hazel Green, AL, for their missionary fund for youth groups.
