Juleienne "Julie" Faye Stockwell Oliver passed away February 3, 2024, at the age of 89 after courageous battles with cancer.

She was born and raised in Louisiana and moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1983. She graduated from Louisiana State University in 1956 with a degree in secondary education.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Dr. James M. Oliver; her father and mother, Julius and Lola Dean Stockwell; and her five loving brothers, Julius Raymond (JR), Cecil, Vernon, Clinton, and Emile Stockwell.

She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert and Deadra Oliver of North Augusta, South Carolina; Steve and Julie Oliver of Loranger, Louisiana; Rusty and Jennie Oliver of Huntsville, Alabama; and Dr. Stanley and Conna Oliver of Huntsville, Alabama; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Julie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed her fellowship with her Adult Women's Sunday School class. Her hobbies included square dancing, gardening, reading biographies, cooking, and studying her Bible. She found much love and joy in her family, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful nurses and staff at Brookdale Senior Living who cared so much for Julie during her time there. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Huntsville, Alabama, Brookdale Senior Living in Huntsville, Alabama, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, at the Brookdale Jones Farms in Jones Valley in the Community Room (2815 Carl T. Jones Drive SE, Huntsville, Alabama 35802) from 1:00pm-3:00pm. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow from 3:00pm-4:00pm in Brookdale's Community Room.

Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at a later date.
