Obituary

Julia Nicole Shelton, born on August 7, 1978, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026. A cherished member of the community, Nicole will be remembered for a life marked by passion, dedication, and unwavering support for all those in church, theatre, and the arts.

Throughout her life, Nicole was a devoted advocate for the theatre, believing deeply in its power to inspire, connect, and transform into the characters she played and supported. She contributed significantly to the creative community as an employee at Blue Woods Productions, a Technician Specialist at the Von Braun Center, and a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 900. Her talent, professionalism, and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on colleagues and collaborators alike.

Throughout her life, Nicole found strength and guidance in her spiritual journey through Cove Church and Trinity Church. Her faith was a steady and meaningful presence, shaping her values and the way she cared for others. Her spirituality was reflected not only in her worship but in her kindness, compassion, and the quiet generosity she extended to those around her.

Nicole loved her family and friends deeply, cherishing the time spent together and the memories they created. Their presence in her life brought her immense joy and meaning. She also found great happiness in the outdoors, with a special love for hiking and spending time in nature, embracing its beauty and tranquility whenever she could. In addition, Nicole was deeply devoted to her pets and held a special passion for animal rescue, offering compassion and care to all animals in need.

Nicole was known for her kindness, generosity, and enduring spirit. She brought warmth and creativity into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her parents, Elaine and Max Morton, her uncles Hugh Folds (Hope Folds) and Billy Folds, sisters Mary Morton and Brett Robinson (Saul Robinson), brother Josh Morton, her pets Fitz, Fergeson, and Alfie, and her cousins Ethan and Abigail Folds, who will carry forward her legacy of love, compassion, and artistic passion.

Nicole is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved father, Tony Shelton, finding peace and eternal rest in God’s presence.
