June Strauser Aaron passed away on May 1, 2017, at the age of 70 years at her daughter's home in Huntsville, Alabama. She was born to Opal Orr and Christopher C. Strauser in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, on April 23, 1947, and moved with her family to Florida and, later, to Texas, graduating from high school in Weimar, Texas, in 1965.


June's spent over twenty years working in Houston's oil and gas firms-Pennzoil, United Gas and NASH Engineering-and later started a successful career as an independent insurance agent based out of The Woodlands, Texas, but she was most proud of being a grandmother. June moved to Huntsville, Alabama, in 2007. A lover of gardening and cooking, she is remembered by all for her constant smile and unwavering sense of humor.

June is survived by her son, Jeffrey Michael Borski; daughter, Karen Borski Somers; son-in-law, Andy Somers; and two granddaughters, Madeleine and Cora Somers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home on Wed., May 3, 2017 followed by a prayer service at 6:00 . Funeral service Thurs., May 4, 2017, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Father Mike MacMahon officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
