Justin Tyler Lynch entered the world on April 27, 1989, the son of John and the late Joyce Lynch. His story ended far too soon in early October, but the chapters he wrote were full of color, adventure, and pure enthusiasm.

Justin was a lifelong champion of comic books, Comic Cons, movies, autographs, and books of every kind. He built proud collections that reflected a heart that never outgrew wonder. Justin brought genuine excitement to everything he loved.

Justin now joins his mother Joyce and his grandparents, Jerald & Jeanmarie Lynch and George & (Marian and Novella) Finkernagel, who made this journey before him. Those of us still here who miss him include his father John (Janet) Lynch; his sisters Faith (Eli) Yewdall Caitlin (Nick) Morrow, and Kristin Lynch (Jon Wright); and his nephew Ziya and nieces Ada and Alexis, who are losing one of their biggest fans.

A Celebration of Justin’s life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on November 17, 2026, at Cornerstone Word of Life Church, Madison. In true Justin fashion, you are encouraged to wear your favorite fantasy, sci-fi, or superhero t-shirt, or full cosplay if the spirit moves you.

In lieu of flowers, consider supporting a local comic shop, buying a kid a graphic novel, or simply sharing a story about the time Justin’s passion made you smile. That is how his light keeps shining.
