Karen M. Taylor, 59, of New Market, AL passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 2, 1966 in West Palm Beach, Florida and was the baby of four children. Karen lived a beautiful life centered on God, family, and back porch sitting with her husband and fur babies.

Karen was a devoted wife, loving sister, rock star Aunt and faithful servant of Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother Charlotte Yole, father James C. May Jr (Fay), Father in-law Jacky Taylor, brother James Curtis May III and nephew Travis Tucker (Nicole).

She is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Jimmy Taylor, sister Lesa Tucker, brother Craig May (Patricia) loving mother in-law LouAnn Woodham (Marvin), and sister in-law Connie Cobble (Ron), nieces Megan Dean, Presley Cobble and Maddison May, nephews Jackson Cobble, Jimmy May (Kelsey), great-nephews Eli Dean, Colton Tucker, Jordan St Fleur and great-nieces Emersyn Dean and Gracie May.

Karen made sales her profession and as she always told folks: she sold toilet paper for a living. She had a passion for rescuing animals in need and singing God‘s praises in her church choir.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 25 from 2:00-4:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home with a memorial service immediately following at 4:00pm with Bro. Earl Holder officiating.
