Katherine Sue Bush, 71, entered her eternal resting place with the Lord on April 1, 2026. She has been reunited with her husband Joe and daughter Amber at last. She was born on November 8, 1954, in Ironton, OH, to the Late Fred and Lucille Howard.

Katherine, lovingly known as ‘Memaw, ' was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and friend to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Joey (Jessica) Bush of Huntsville, Alabama, stepson, Shanon (Leedalea) Bush of Frankfort, KY, Twin Sister Katrina (Paul) Hamilton, and Donald (Cappie) Thompson of Russell, KY. Grandchildren – Samantha Bush, Tyler Bush, Emily Atkinson, Riley Bush, Brooklyn Marks, Brayden Marks, Garret Finley, Harlee Finley, 3 Great Grandchildren, and so many close extended family members and friends whom she adored immensely.

Kathy found her greatest joy in keeping up with all her babies. Whether it was checking in, sharing stories, or spending hours on the phone, she made sure everyone felt loved and connected to her. Her conversations, warm laughter, and caring spirit will forever be cherished and so deeply missed.

She will always be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the special way she made everyone she met feel important. One of her sayings that will always stand out and be remembered is “You’re as pretty as an elephant”.

Though she is no longer with us, her love and instilled guidance will live on in all the hearts of all who knew her and loved her. She will forever be deeply missed and remembered.
