Kevin
Tucker
Aug 7, 1953 — Jul 18, 2021
Paul Kevin Tucker, 67, of Madison passed away unexpectedly at his home Sunday, July 18, 2021. Kevin was born August 7, 1953, in Tullahoma, TN. The son of Francis William and June Renegar Tucker, Kevin grew up in Huntsville and graduated from Lee High School in 1971. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in chemical engineering and the University of Alabama-Huntsville with a master's degree in mechanical engineering. He worked as an aerospace engineer for thirty years at NASA specializing in fluid dynamics. He retired in 2015. Kevin was a faithful and loving husband and father for over thirty five years.
Though he went by his middle name, Kevin, he was named for his father's brother, Paul, who was killed in action during the final weeks of World War II. Kevin's hobbies included gardening, woodworking, history and he especially enjoyed photography. He was the photographer for many years at family gatherings capturing the food, fun and fellowship and then sharing his photographs through albums. He also enjoyed taking family photographs for his friends and neighbors.
Kevin was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Madison and a selfless servant of his Master, Jesus Christ. He touched many lives in his weekly messages at the Rose of Sharon Soup Kitchen, especially as he taught through the Gospel of John. His relentless pursuit of the lost was inspirational to all who knew him, and resulted in lives changed for all eternity.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Carol and one son, Paul, Madison, AL, his mother, June Renegar Tucker, Lynchburg, TN, sister, Cathy Acuff (Ken), Tullahoma, TN, and brother, John (Sherry), Meridianville, AL; and a host of uncles, nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.
