Krista Phillips Herbster, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, June 8. A proud North Alabama native, Krista graduated from Madison County High School in 1993, where she was a spirited cheerleader and a vibrant presence in the student body.

Throughout her life, Krista was drawn to roles that allowed her to connect with others and offer support in meaningful ways. From her early days at Regions Bank to her time at Pic-A-Frame, This and That Military Surplus, and most recently Xfinity, Krista brought warmth, patience, and a genuine desire to help to every interaction. Her kindness shone through even in the most challenging moments, and she had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued.

Krista's heart was full of love—not only for her husband Rob and her family, but also for the dogs she and Rob raised together. Their black German Shepherds were more than pets; they were cherished members of the family, and Krista adored them with all her heart.

Those who knew Krista will remember her as kind, generous, and full of life. She gave freely and without hesitation—if she had something and you needed it, it was yours. Her quick wit, infectious laughter, and deep compassion left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Krista is lovingly survived by her husband, Rob Herbster; her mother, Mickey League Branum; her brother, Scott Phillips; sister-in-law, Shawn Phillips; and her beloved nieces, Sydney, Kennedi, and Berkli Phillips.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Phillips; stepmother, Glenda Phillips; and brother-in-law, Edward Herbster.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Krista's memory to WellStone. Krista was deeply proud of her long-term sobriety, and supporting others on their journey to recovery is a beautiful way to honor her legacy and the strength she carried with such grace.
