Lance Edward Meeks, 65, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026.

He was retired from Huntsville Utilites.

Mr. Meeks is survived by his wife, Cynthia Duvall Meeks; son, Zack Heatherly (Kelci); two grandchildren, Reese Heatherly and Josie Heatherly; and honorary brothers, Doug Howard and Bruce Meeks.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Meeks and Barbara Walker Meeks.

Visitation will be Friday, July 17th from 12:30 - 2:30 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 2:30 with Rev Mark Warren officiating.  Burial will be at Green Valley Cemetery in Owens Cross Roads.  Pallbearers will be Brad Duvall, Mark McAllister, Jimmy Powers, Chad Howard, Eric Tapscott and Stan Stone.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Carroll Stone, Bobby Smith, James Guffey, Steve Hyatt, Tim Turner, Tommy Stephens, Mark Kilgore, and Michael Brown.
