Retired Army SFC Larry Francis Reddell, age 69, of Monrovia,Alabama passed away on May 14th , 2026, surrounded by his family. Larry enlisted in the Army in 1973 at the age of 17, proudly serving 20 years and earning the prestigious rank of Sergeant-First Class.Larry was not only a servant to his country, but also to his family and community. He brought smiles to everyone he met, was always available to help anyone in need, opened his doors to friends that became family, and loved like it was his job. His legacy is one that could only be described as “an angel on Earth.”

He is survived by his wife Faye Jones, his children Angie Stanley(Larry), Jackie Jones (Mary), his grandchildren Joshua Jones(Sarah), Brandon Jones, Bradley Thompson (Ashley), DeborahCook (Tyler), and Kelsey Jones along with six great grandchildren.Brothers and Sisters Lynn Reddell, Jackie Reddell, Jerry Reddell,Karen Budd, Garry Reddell, Casey Reddell, David Reddell, DannyReddell, and Jon Reddell.He is preceded in death by his mother Beverly Reddell, fatherGerald Reddell, brothers and sisters Paul Rodman, Vickie Reddell,Eugene Reddell, Gail Reddell, and son Jeffrey Jones.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 20th from 12-2pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Following the service, there will be a burial ceremony at Huntsville Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages all that are interested to donate to the National Kidney Foundation and/or the Heart Foundation.The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and generosity during this difficult time.
