Laura Jane Lang, age 86, of Gurley passed away Monday surrounded by her family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Margaret (Herrin) Hollingsworth, her husband of 50 years John R. "Rob" Lang, and two brothers Alton "Tookie" Hollingsworth and Nathan Hollingsworth. She was a member of Chesnut Grove Methodist Church and a retiree from Madison County Elementary School.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her one son, Thomas "Tab" Barnett and wife Sherry of Huntsville, one daughter Nancy Lang and partner Eddie Cagle of Scottsboro, five grandchildren T. Paul Barnett and wife Melissa, Ashley Barnett Finley and husband Jeffrey, Jonathon Maxwell Stevenson, Dylan Lang Stevenson and wife Taylor, and Kylie Grace Webb and partner Patrick; six great grandchildren, Evan Cole Barnett, Samuel Parker Barnett, Megan Baird Finley and wife Sydney, Garrett Thomas Finley, Jeffrey John Logan Finley, and Everly Jane Coots; one sister Nancy Hollingsworth Chandler and many nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday June 1 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm with service to following at 2:00 pm with brother Kenny Treece officiating.  Interment will be at Chesnut Grove Cemetery with a private burial service.

Jane was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother "Gran"
