IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lauren Ashley
Gray
February 19, 1999 – March 24, 2025
Lauren Ashley Gray, 26, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 10:00 am with Rev. Tommy Bolan officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:30 pm at East Prentiss Baptist Church Cemetery in New Site, Mississippi. Lauren requested everyone wear purple or bright colors to her celebration.
In Lauren's short 26 years on earth she accomplished more than most people do in a lifetime. She was on track to get her masters degree in accounting in May from Athens State University. She participated in the 2022 Miss Alabama pageant where she received the Miss Congeniality award. She was the poster child for the Combined Federal Campaign for the Redstone Arsenal where she helped raise an astounding $111,000. She also received the George W. H. Bush Points of Light award which recognizes individuals for their significant impact on their community.
Lauren was a lover of music. She was a passionate writer and even had her own blog, "Wheeling Through Life" ( CLICK HERE TO VISIT WHEELING THROUGH LIFE ) Family and friends were incredibly important to her and she was often the coordinator of group gatherings. Her comedic timing was perfect and her talent for helping her dad stay out of the doghouse with her mom was legendary. She never let her physical limits stop her. She never felt sorry for herself. She was a beacon of light for all those around her.
But what stood out the most about Lauren was her love of the Lord. She was able to face her last days on earth with joy and courage because she drew her strength from God. Of all the things she did in life, sharing her love of Jesus was the most important to her.
She is survived by her parents, Rick and Lisa Gray, and her sister, Hannah Gray, her Grandmother, Sally Gray, Aunt Jeanne Loveday, Uncle Patrick Gray (wife Alex) and Aunt Mae Hoard. She was preceded in death by Grandparents, James and Jeanette Hoard, and Charles Gray, and Uncles Larry Hoard and Michael Gray.
Pall bears are as follows: Michael Brasel, Benny Brasel, Patrick Gray, Joseph Gray, Ethan Brasel, Drew Williams and Austin Snell.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Samaritan's Purse. DONATE HERE TO SAMARITAN'S PURSE
