Obituary

Linda Sue Bailey Sisk was born on Tuesday May 2, 1950, in Princeton, AL. She was a daughter, a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to so many.

Linda officially gained her wings Tuesday morning May 20, 2025, at her home in Huntsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her mother Clara Mae Bailey, father Oscar J. Bailey, brothers Eddie Bailey and William "Bill" Bailey, and son Jerry Steven Sisk.

Linda lived her life rooted in faith, love, and compassion. She was an exceptionally talented full-service florist and caterer, known for her lavish and vibrant fresh flower arrangements made for weddings, celebrations, and other community events. She owned her own floral shop, "Linda's Flowers & Gifts", in Northwest Huntsville, AL. She could cook anything and fed everyone. She loved watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Shouting, "Rock and fire!" from the sidelines, she was always a guiding presence in every aspect of our family. The oldest of eight, she had the responsibilities of an adult her entire life, married at 14, a mother at 15, and a master in everything she put her mind to. She was a true angel among us. She was "home" and the foundation of everything we know.

She will forever be missed by her husband of 60 years Roger L. Sisk, sons Russell (Vernice) Sisk and Damian O. Sisk; daughter Deanna Y. Sisk; daughters-in-law Janice Sisk and Evelyn Sisk; grandchildren Sierra D. Walton, Thearion L. Walton, Raven (Brandon) Pincheon, Andrea (Steve) Woods, Bryan C. Sisk, Joshua S. Sisk, Lauryn (Collin) Malone, Zachary (Melanie) Sisk, Jackson S. Sisk, and Anderson J. Sisk.

Among her many cherished descendants, two great-granddaughters, Makynzi Leigh and Jhersi Jhanaé, held a particularly special place in her heart. They were the daily sparkle in her life, bringing her unmatched joy, laughter, and light. To her, they could do no wrong. In total, she had 21 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law Ruth Sisk and Teresa Bruce, sisters Evelyn Shiflett, Carolyn Rose, Kathy Collier, Terese Lee, and Mary Bailey, nieces, nephews, and an enormous amount of amazing friends that she considered family.

An intimate celebration of her life will be held at a later time in lieu of a full visitation service. No further arrangements have been made at this time. We, the family, want to thank the professional and dependable team of Berryhill Funeral Home for assisting us through this difficult time.
