Obituary

Lonnie Luke, 64, passed away on September 1, 2026, at his home in Huntsville, Alabama.

Born on October 3, 1961, in Springville, Alabama, Lonnie was a gifted and creative man whose life reflected both imagination and courage. He graduated from Springville High School and later attended cosmetology school in Leeds, Alabama, preparing for a career as a hairdresser. In his work and in his personal life, Lonnie brought an artistic spirit and a willingness to explore new ideas. He was very creative and never afraid to try new things.

That same creativity could be seen in the things he loved most. Lonnie enjoyed painting art and woodworking, pursuits that allowed his talent, patience, and originality to shine. Whether through his profession or his hobbies, he expressed himself with care and individuality, leaving a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Lonnie is survived by his sisters, Gail Montgomery and her husband William, Kay Pearson and her husband Mark, and Kristie Royal and her husband Mike. He is also survived by his aunt, Tina Skaggs, who held a special place in his life and was more like a sister to him. He will be remembered with love by his family and by all who appreciated his creative heart and independent spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Luke, and his mother, Virginia Willett, of Springville, Alabama.

Lonnie’s memory will live on in the lives he touched, in the beauty he created, and in the love shared by those closest to him.
