January 29, 1951 – August 6, 2025
Born in Selma, AL., to Charles and Dohler Furlow. She passed in full confidence of the eternal home with her Lord and Savior on August 6th, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital at 9:00 pm.
Loretta and Edward Ragland were married for 34 Years before he passed in 2018.
She is preceded by her husband, parents, and grandparents. She is survived by her Dog, Patches, her children, daughters, Jonnaya Ragland and Ebony Carter; son, Thomas Leshore (Brenda), Brother Tommy Reed, uncles, Aunts, cousins, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Loretta was a longtime resident of Huntsville, Alabama. She and Edward moved to Huntsville in 1996 from Fort Drum, NY, when Edward retired from the Army. There, she worked at NAFF on Redstone Arsenal for many years until 2011, when she retired. After retiring, she enjoyed going to the Senior Center, the movies, exercise classes, traveling, plays, and Church at the Rock Family Worship Center.
Loretta was loved by many people and had many friends. She always brought Joy wherever she went. Her big smile on her face was contagious to those who encountered her. She always knew she would be called to be God's angel, so we know she is covering us from above.
