Luz “Lucy” M. Hernández Vélez, born November 27, 1949, in Puerto Rico, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, José M. Matos. She is survived by her two children, Manuel O. Matos and Yaritza M. Putnam, who will love and miss her dearly.

Lucy lived with joy and a beautiful spirit. She loved dancing, singing karaoke, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Her joy was a radiant light, her friendship warmed countless lives, and her love will shine in our hearts forever.

Rest in peace, Mamá. We will miss you more than words can express. I love you, always and forever.
