IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynn Dale
Northcutt
March 2, 1957 – December 8, 2025
Lynn Dale Northcutt, 68, passed away on December 8, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born in Wood River, Illinois, on March 2, 1957, Dale grew up with a strong sense of loyalty, humor, and devotion that carried him through every chapter of his life.
After graduating from Alton High School in 1975, Dale went on to serve his country with honor, retiring from the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in 1995. His work didn't end there—he continued to dedicate himself through roles with Summa Technologies, ASI, UAH, and Five Stone before retiring once more in 2023. No matter where he worked or whom he worked beside, people remembered him for his warmth, honesty, and the way he could make anyone feel at ease.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Louise Northcutt, and his nephew, Sean Northcutt.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his beautiful wife of 47 years, Renee Northcutt—his constant companion and the one who knew him best. He is also survived by his children, Jr. (Cj) Northcutt, Wynter (Kenny) Northcutt Woodall, and Scott (Felicia) Northcutt, who will forever carry his strength and humor in their hearts.
Dale's pride and joy were his grandchildren: Payten (Ethan), Austin (Lexie), Tripp, Ava, and Olivia; as well as his bonus grandchildren, Abbie (Cayman), Bailey (Andrew), Johnathan, Michael, and Leo. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Taylor, and the soon-to-arrive baby JW. He is also survived by his brother, Ken (Carolyn) Northcutt, and niece, Season (Brad) Gehrman.
Those who knew Dale knew a man who loved deeply and lived wholeheartedly. He found happiness in gold panning, a good gamble—especially at the craps table—and cheering for the Fighting Illini, the St. Louis Cardinals, watching the Huntsville Havoc, and Western films. But nothing compared to the joy he found in simply being surrounded by his family. And though he may not have admitted it out loud, he had a soft spot a mile wide for his wife's dog, Fancy.
Dale's presence filled every room he entered, and his absence will be felt in all the lives he touched. His celebration of life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor the man who meant so much to so many.
Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
