Manuela Lagunas Lagunas, 71 years old, of Decatur, AL, was born in Tehuixtla, Guerrero, Mexico on March 26, 1954. She died on February 24, 2026, at her home. She was the widow of Ascension Romero Mendoza and the daughter of Reymundo Lagunas and Isabel Lagunas.

She is survived by her son: Vicente Romero, daughters: Marta Romero, Yolanda Romero Roman, grandchildren: Kevin Romero, Leslie Romero, Alan Romero, Alexander Romero, Favian Gonzalez, Diego Gonzalez, Sofia Gonzalez, Isabel Roman, and Adrian Roman, brothers: Ascension Lagunas, Genaro Lagunas and sisters: Paula Lagunas and Flora Lagunas.

Visitation will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am with Father Rick Chenault officiating.  Burial will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
