Marcia "Dawn" Bennett (nee Ruggieri) passed away on August 19, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama at the age of 83.

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Bennett spent most of her adult life in Palm Beach County, Florida before moving to Huntsville, Alabama in 2005, where she enjoyed retirement in the natural beauty of the Tennessee Valley. She was a wonderful homemaker, a fashion model, owner of a successful interior decorating business, and social secretary for a racquet club. Mrs. Bennett led a full and blessed life and was a friend and an inspiration to many. She was an avid tennis player, socialite, and pet lover.

Mrs. Bennett is preceded in death by her mother and father, Laura May Tuck (nee Moyer) and Thomas Ruggieri, and her brother, Dale Eitnier, and her eldest son, Brett Allen Bennett.

She is survived by her great-granddaughter Blakely Renae Watson and "favorite" granddaughter, Laura Dawn Watson of Pulaski, Tennessee;  son, Scott Bennett, of Huntsville, Alabama; and niece Courtney Hackett.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to an Alzheimers/Dementia related organization of your choosing.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 6th, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following at 4:00 PM.
